Trip to China: Blog One: New York/JKF Airport,Tawain Ariport,Hong Kong Airport,Guangzhuo Aripiort
Hello everyboby and welcome to reading my experiences while I was on my vacation. I had a lot of fun and I didn't want to leave. This is my first blog entry about it and the tile is a bit weird because I put so many airport in it. This is the reason:
My parents planned a vacation for the family to go to China for a month during the summer. Our departure from New York was on July 23 at 1:30am and our arrival time at Guangzhuo was suppose to be July 24 around 9:30am. Unfortunately, our trip didn't go the way we planned. So, on July 23 at 10:00pm I left my house to go to the airport. At JFK airport I waited 3 hours before getting on the plane. When I boarded the plane, I looked for my seat and found out I had a window seat. Yay!!! I love looking out the window when the plane in up in the stratosphere, but I don't really enjoy looking out when the plane goes off the ground and into the sky. That's because I am afraid of heights. Anyway, so the plane takes off and has to fly in the sky for 16 hours. At first, I thought it was going to be boring but it wasn't. There was a mini tv in front of me. It had movies, games, music, etc. Also during my flight there was food. The food was ok. It wasn't the best food in to world but it didn't taste bad at all. I think my favorite meal out of all was breakfast. Then, on July 24 at 5:30am, 1 hour away from Hong Kong ariport, the pilot annouces that due to the Typhoon, we cannot land in Hong Kong and will be going to Tawain Airport. I was okay with it and got off the plane 2 hours later when we arrived in Tawain. I thought we were only going to be there for 2 hours and Hong Kong airport will be opened again for planes. But no!!! I was stuck there for 4 hours. The time I left Tawain was 11:30am. I really hate mother nature. Out of all the days of that month she could have summoned a typhoon, she decides to put one on the day I go on vacation, out of the hundreds of countries she could have chose, she picks Hong Kong. So after that long wait, the Hong Kong airport is opened again, and we arrive. But that is not my final destination. My destination is Guangzhuo. That creates an even bigger problem. Since I was suppose to board my plane to Guangzhuo on July 24 at 7:30am but since I was stuck in Tawain at that time my plane left. To make it even worse I had to trade my ticket for a new one and the line for that was really long. When it was finally my turn they tell me that the next airplane to Guangzhuo was at 9:30pm. That meant I had to wait 10 hours. WHAT THE HELL WAS I SUPPOSE TO DO FOR 10 HOURS?!?!?!?! During my 10 hoour wait, I wondered around the airport and explored the stores. I found a lot of makeup stores, a bookstore, and a lot of fast food resturants. Finally, the 10 hours passed but still no airplane because my flight was moved to 10:30 pm. I got so fusterated, I was about the pull my hair out. After that change, the flight time was final and i got to board the plane. Except the fact that the plane had to take off at 11:00pm. I got to Guangzhuo at 12:30am on July 25. Fortunately for me, my relatives came to pick us up because there were no bus to take my home. When I FINALLY reached my house, I was so tired I went directly to sleep.
And that is why the title for my blog is Trip to China: Blog One: New York/JKF Airport,Tawain Ariport,Hong Kong Airport,Guangzhuo Aripiort.

I know how you feel. Last time I went to China I stopped at an airport in Spain for two hours, one in I think India for about 3 hours, then finally I got to Hong Kong. The flight was intended to be 16 hours but instead it took over 20 hours! I didn't even sleep on the plane. So it meant I didn't sleep for a whole day!
ReplyDeleteWhat the hell are you talking about? You travel across the Pacific Ocean(technically the Arctic Ocean cause you fly all the way up to Canada for some reason), not the Atlantic Ocean to go to China.
DeleteUmm Sharon, when I went, it was suppose to be the Pacific Ocean that I was going to travel across, but however due to I think a hurricane or something, it was blowing across the Pacific, so for our safety, the plane traveled East instead of West. Also you spelled airport wrong twice in the title.
DeleteWell you should be more pacific(i meant specific) about it next tome.
DeleteOh God... Victor and Sharon fighting again (as always).... :P
ReplyDeletePoor Sharon, I finally understand why you said the plane ride wasn't fun....
Thank you for understanding, unlike some people.
